In Canada training needs to be creative and packed with FUN!

Group Shot!

So, why not go on a one week backcountry hut ski trip with good friends?!?
It wasn't part of my plan or intentional but an opportunity arose and with a lot of thought and some instinct and a lot of emotion I decided to go on the trip with hubby and friends. It did not disappoint in any way.

High avalanche conditions forced us to play the safe cards but also forced us to explore the terrain and get creative. We rarely skied the same thing twice and found some stellar lines.

The days were long 8-8:30am until 4-5pm with only short breaks and lots of smiles and sometimes sore legs!

I love the feeling after long days of fun, working hard, being outdoors, and exploring new places with friends.

Thank you everyone for this amazing trip! Whether it helped, did nothing or deterred by training... I don't care. For me it was worth it and keeps me excited and having fun!

The past weekend after returning from Tofino we went out for a ski tour off the Coquihalla Highway on Llago... It was a beaut of a day and the snow was really really great! It was a long beautiful day in the mountains!
