My family: my life

We recently just got back from a month on the road living out of our trailer and friends places. I am on mat leave and Andrew took a month off so the four of us: Tav (just 2), Aiste (4 months), Andrew and I travelled in our travel trailer to find some dirt, the ocean, and good times... we found it all and more:)

Its not without its up and downs or hard work travelling in cramped spaces with small kiddos. No matter how tough it is though its always worth the extra effort to go that extra mile and just DO IT. We both LOVE and thrive in the outdoors as well as playing hard in different outdoor activities especially mtn biking, skiing, and paddling. We both need our escapes and time to push hard either on the trails or on the water and we both love sharing time in the outdoors with our children and each other.... Most of the time we rock the same rhythm and its just amazing... I love my little family, I love our little life... I love the fact that the simplest of things are once again big things as we share them with Tav and Aiste...

I am also so excited to be back training and trying to achieve some goals on the SUP... It is a strange feeling though as I accomplished more than I have ever imagined I would on a SUP so this time around its all bonus and its about sharing my journey, my story, with others and with my family. Its not about results like it used to be its about the experience and sharing the experiences. I am stoked to be a apart of a new team with Sunova Boards. Check out this awesome article Chris Parker from SUPRacer wrote.. it pretty much sums it up for me. Thanks:)

Friends have been a huge part of our success in getting out there, smiling, experiencing,... without these amazing connections around the world and right here in our neighbourhood our life would certainly not be as rich and beautiful as it is... so thank you friends near and far for taking the time out of your lives to help us and be with us. We love you:)

I am also learning to compromise. Being a racer at heart is a deeply selfish thing.. it has to be in order to train to win...but as my family grows I am learning to find that happy balance. I don't always find it but with practice I am getting better:)

Its finally starting to feel a little more like spring and less like winter... I do love the changes that occur as this switch continues....

live, love, laugh,...DREAM!
